Working from home and what to expect
Working from home has some great perks, you get the freedom
to work your own hours there’s no commute and you don’t have a boss looking
over your shoulder. Working from home and working outside the home can be
almost identical. What I mean is the opportunity that you get may be based on
your experience or education. In other words you may not have experience in
transcription therefore this will not be a good fit. Maybe your last job was a
sales rep, there are many work from home opportunities that involve selling. Motor Club of America is always
looking for work from home agents. You would be selling insurance plans or
recruiting for agents, by placing ads on several sites everyday. Melaleuca is
always looking for sales reps they have all natural and environmental products
that you can sell. These jobs will pay you a commission for selling there
products or services. After a while, you can make good monthly pay if you’re
consistent and stick with it. If you don’t have experience in selling you might
think about something like affiliate marketing. There are thousands of
affiliate programs that you can sign-up with and market products for and there
all free to join if you should ever be asked to pay to sign-up for affiliate
programs, don’t they should all be free. Commission Junction is a great place
to start. All you need is a website or blog to market the products from.
Writing or blogging is another source of income. If you can write articles
there are companies that will pay you for doing so such as http://contributor.yahoo.com
there are several others just do the research. Just remember that if an
opportunity sounds too good to be true then it probably is a scam.
Where to begin
Once you’ve got a great resume you can start searching for companies that offer work from home opportunities. Here is a great place to begin your search legitimate companies that hire homeworkers. There are other places you can look too. There’s Monster, Career Builders and Craig’s list to name a few. Be real careful even though these are reputable companies some scams manage to find a loop hole into the job ads. So use caution and do your research on anything you find enticing before you jump in with both feet. I recommend Home Job Stop they do charge a fee, but it’s a small one and worth it and its only a one time fee they’ve been helping people find legitimate work from home opportunities for years.
Work From Home Opportunity Alternatives
If you don’t have the kind of experience that some online opportunities are offering then try an alternative like affiliate marketing. Try www.LinkShare.com they have several affiliate programs and you need no experience to qualify. As long as you have a computer with a website or blog you can market there products.
Speaking of blogs try starting one up at www.blogger.com it’s free!
